They're two different websites. Twitter is used to update on stuff, like what you're doing. Facebook is used to socialize with friends and such.
Facebook is a social networking site that has become very popular and it can be very addicting to people who wish to stay connected with friends as well as make new acquaintances. Many people have stopped using email anymore in their online social communications , relying almost entirely on Facebook for email, chat, image and video sharing.



Twitter is different than Facebok. It could be equally addictive and here one gets immediate responses. However the messages are limited in size. It stands somewhere between the worlds of email, instant messaging and blogging. Twitter encourages constant “linking out” analogous to a pure search engine;linking with people all over the nets.What is the difference between Facebook and Twitter?
Twitter is definitely an easier way to connect with people of similar interests than Facebook. Facebook connects you with people you knew in the past and just met. Twitter allows you to meet new people and allows for a more free flowing two-way conversation! For professionals its great because it teaches you how to post only the most important and pertinent information.
There's actually a huge difference between the 2. People tend to see them as the same thing simply because they're both social networks. Other than that... they way people use it are vastly different.

Facebook is personal whereas twitter is open. From a business aspect both are good tools to use to reach your consumer I know on facebook you can create a fan page for your business where people can click like and be connected and you can reach thousands of people. I am not really sure about twitter because I do not use my twitter account on a regular basis like I do facebook. I hope this helps!
Tweeter is intended to be something like an online sms database. People on Tweeter will use it to post short messages that often direct you to another website via links. You Tweet and that's it.

Facebook is much better if you want to socialize but twitter is okay if you only want to inform everyone what you are doing. Personally I prefer facebook as you can do everything that twitter does and more
