Would it be better to set up a Twitter or Facebook account to social network with attorneys?

I own a legal services business and lately social networking is the way to go along with my website of course. I just joined a social network specifically for attorneys, however what about facebook and twitter? Is there any reasons why one might be better than the other for my purpose? Do either have a search for occupation or attorney groups?Would it be better to set up a Twitter or Facebook account to social network with attorneys?
Anything that goes on Facebook and Twitter is out there waiting to be read by anyone. Beware what you put on these social networking sites.
I, uhh... have a friend who is an attorney, and she is not on Facebook or Twitter because after stressing her brain all day at work she wants to try to avoid as much technology as possible. Doesn't like unsolicited calls at the office either.... but an interesting letter, flier, brochure of services, etc which she could look at at her convenience would be the best way to go. Every county in my home state has a county bar association which puts out a monthly paper. Individuals can inset fliers or ads in that monthly paper which is distributed to every licensed attorney in that county. Seems like that would be a good investment.Would it be better to set up a Twitter or Facebook account to social network with attorneys?
My business (SNAP) is geared toward helping business owners find and maintain their customers through social networking. It is in your best interest to set up a Facebook, MySpace and Twitter account. You also need to be on LinkedIn.

Of these services, Facebook will probably best serve your needs because of several features including Facebook advertising. Facebook users update continuously, so it's more of a continuous conversation rather than the posting that MySpace offers.

Also, via Facebook you can create a separate page for your business or to connect with specific people. Overall, I believe you'll find Facebook is superior to MySpace.

There are many other tools you can use. If you're interested in other ideas, check out my website at www.poweredbysnap.com. Under the list that says Social Media, click on any of the offerings to see what else is out there.

Good Luck!
My advice is start with LinkedIn as that is social networking for business/professionals. There are already social groups of lawyers and then I would suggest contacting local law societies and asking their advice.

We are using Twitter, but more as a means to raise awareness for our fundraising program in support of Habitat for Humanity.

Twitter is far superior. Because there are various tools avaialble on internet which can help you get hundreds of targetted people (here in your case - attorneys ) within a few days. This is hardly possible with orkut, facebook, myspace etc.
I suggest you personally contact any attorney to further your legal services business. Forget Facebook and Twitter.
Do myspace, twitter and facebook. Why not? They are all free and put you out there?
