What's the difference between Facebook and Myspace to Twitter?

Right now, I'm at a young age and am talking to my parent's about making a Twitter account. They think Twitter is just another way for people to find me (paranoid rents.. gotta love them!) So is there a difference between Facebook and Myspace to Twitter? If there is please let me know and list the differences. Thanks! What's the difference between Facebook and Myspace to Twitter?
My opinion:

Mysape= customizable.. all with codes.. music, backgrounds, pictures sometimes a lil complicated if you don鈥檛 know what your doing.. has added a ton of new features to block hide and stray secret but that is soley on how you decide to have your myspace page and information, still have mine

Facebook= almost like myspace but with out the codes music backgrounds, all your friends know what your doing, who your talking to, what your posting, hard to change setting to avoid everyone from know what u write.. didn鈥檛 keep mine for long

Twitter= in my opinion its like sending our a text message to all your friends via twitter web page and they can read how you feel and what your doing, is somewhat customizable鈥ever had one

**Every person has there own opinion on what social network they prefer depending on what they use so if they love facebook they will talk good about it if they love myspace or twitter they will do the same,鈥?maybe make one on all three and just test the waters, figure what you want and then keep the one u prefer and delete the others..
They are all the same.

Myspace is more customizable. You can change the background and add music to your page. Its con is that it can get annoying after a while.

Facebook is a more organized version of myspace. There are plenty of apps on facebook to make it similar to myspace if you wanted it that way.

Twitter is more disorganized but its simple. It's easier to pass gossip around and make jokes with.

Personally, I like facebook the most. Sorry to hear that your parents are over-protective.What's the difference between Facebook and Myspace to Twitter?
I am an ex-user of Myspace. It is usually used by teenagers that send out 10,000 friend requests to people they don't know, and it gets boring fast. Facebook is the best, I am using it right now and have gotten back in touch with friends from high school. Don't know much about Twitter, although I have a friend advertising his Twitter page like he is a celebrity.
Facebook, Myspace and Twitter are social networks. Facebook is for everything, for making friends and you can also create groups and fan pages. Myspace is good for many things like classifieds. Twitter is for status updates and following people your like there. What's the difference between Facebook and Myspace to Twitter?
Facebook = Well designed social network, hardly any spam, and not just random people adding you

MySpace= People who do music and want to get a record deal! they all add you and beg you to be their friends, and n MySpace you get 50% Spam! (as comments)

Twitter = Twitterific! lol, twitter lingo... you tweet I tweet.. twitter is made simplly to tell people what your doing! (with the ability to show where your doing it GPS, and with pics!)
