What is a good online social networking site that's better than facebook or twitter? preferably for artists?

I was wondering if there was another online community sort of like facebook and twitter where I could socialize/meet new artists, and do similar things like on those other social networking sites but catered to artists and stuff.. I don't know, it just seems facebook is too full of passive aggressive BS and twitter is just random spewage. suggestions? What is a good online social networking site that's better than facebook or twitter? preferably for artists?
Deviant art sort of acts as a social network site for artists but socially, it is a different kind of mind F@#k all together really.

-Sorry, should probably explain myself better: It has its own type of trolls, fetish groups ect. The good side of DA is that talented artists stick together in the fight against plagiarism and offer advice to help fellow da members. Every social network has it's ups and downs.
Try http://www.myartspace.com/ and

Humblevoice.com

Humble Voice is a virtual artistic space for “artists and those who appreciate them.” Members of the Humble Voice network can post music, videos, photography, poetry, and other art. The quality on this network is excellent: you are sure to come across astounding work every time you browse.

MyArtInfo.com

My Art Info has been called the Facebook of the artist community. This well designed site allows artists to post profiles and portfolios, and the community votes on the best artist in each category. The site also provides resources for work and education.

Teapotters

Teapotters is a Youtube-like site for 3-D graphic art. You can search the site for the best 3-D models, read others’ comments, and post your own work.

Threadless.com

Want to see your art worn on a T-shirt? A haven for hipsters and artists, Threadless collects submissions for T-shirt designs from artists, and then the online community votes on the designs. The best designs are accepted to be printed on T-shirts and sold on the Threadless online catalogue.

Flickr.com

Although the photo-sharing site Flickr wasn’t designed for artists, it has become a great place to post not only photography but also graphic design and other artwork.

For art, you say?

I would say that the best social website with a focus on art must be deviantArt. All of my artist friends have accounts, it's great for posting pictures, commenting on others artwork, and generally interacting with the artistic community. I have gotten fairly involved in stained glass and plan to set up an account myself!
definately deviantart.com on deviantart, you can upload your own art and share it with the world on your profile. you can also browse/search thru other peoples art, and message the artists and leave comments on their work. What is a good online social networking site that's better than facebook or twitter? preferably for artists?
I go for zupbox. It is complete. It has chat, video chat, unlimited uploads of music, photos, videos... I'm an artist and I love it. http://www.zupbox.com
