Twitter is just another way of stalking someone. It's a social networking site. It's a place where you can get the updates of your friends, like Myspace, and Facebook, but it also allows people to get the updates of people they don't know, preferably celebrities. I'm guilty of it too, I get updates from people that I don't know, and they are celebs. People like to know what the people they look up to, or the band that they love to listen to, is doing at 4:05pm on any given Sunday. They like it, it makes them feel in the know. People like to feel as if they are in the know. Maybe it makes them feel closer with the celeb, as if they are friends? But usually you can tell that they really aren't, only by seeing that the celeb isn't wishing to receive updates back from that person. I don't know, that's kind of funny to me. But, it's not just a way to aid in the obsession of a million little 8 yr. old JoBro stalkers, it's also a major way of finding yourself a job. Lots of employers go on Twitter, looking for specialists on any given field. If, through, people's normal, everyday "tweets", which are what Twitter calls the updates, a person shows they have the qualifications and personality traits an employer is searching for, then they are willing to arrange a meeting with that person, all through Twittering. Also, companies can stay in touch with the customers of their products, and give them updates on upcoming products to be released soon. So, it's for little 10 yr. old's that want to follow Justin Timberlake, so they can tell their friends at school, that she knows he's eating dinner at that specific moment, and also for a 45 yr. old business manager, currently looking for a job. It's for everyone, nonetheless.
